Greg Dziewit is President of DZI Construction, overseeing business development and operations. With over 30 years of construction experience from the field to the executive office, he is experienced in every component of a construction project.
He began his career at the age of five, pounding nails with his brother, while working for his father in rural Michigan. After attending the University of Michigan and serving in the US Navy, he landed in San Diego, California, where he put on his bags and continued his construction career. Bags and boots, soon turned into a computer and dress shoes.
During the last two decades, Greg, has project managed laboratory construction, including cGMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facilities, vivariums, clean rooms, wet labs; tenant improvements, common area re-imaging; medical device manufacturing plants; and various industrial facilities, with budgets ranging from $20,000 to $8 million.
In his free time, Greg volunteers in the community, works in his shop, mountain bikes, camps, bakes artisan bread and spends time with his family and friends.

Debra Bermudes-Dziewit is DZI Construction VP, bringing with her 20 years experience in business.
Before DZI Construction, Debra served as Director of Accounts at Vivimedia, as Marketing Manager for Brookfield Homes managing media, marketing and public relations; and as Account Manager at Scribe Communications. From conception and research to strategy and implementation, she creatively manages multiple projects.
A driven, people-focused leader, Debra has led prominent consumer, business-to-business and non-profit client initiatives including Ethel M Chocolates, Vista Hill Hospital Group, Orfila Vineyards, Del Mar Plaza, and Pacifica Restaurants. Debra holds a B.S. in Business and is active in her community volunteering for San Diego City Schools and other community organizations.
When not working, she can be found in nature; mountain biking, hiking or swimming.
Roy Lemmens, DZI Superintendent, has worked in the construction industry for over three decades.
He began his career as a custom home carpenter, learning the values of quality and teamwork; with his bags on.
At DZI, Roy enjoys the fast-paced work of a superintendent; and is known for bringing tight projects in on schedule. As a superintendent for DBC (David Begent and Company), Roy acquired his laboratory and tenant improvement experience, working on projects for Arena Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer and Fujitsu; to name just a few. As a superintendent at KCS, he worked on construction projects at the International Border and for Qualcomm.
His free time is spent with his wife and their furry children; camping, fishing and riding his Harley.
Steve Rachal, Superintendent, brings over 30 years of experience in all phases of construction to DZI.
He has extensive knowledge in ground up, build out and tenant improvements projects; including commercial kitchen construction and retail renovations. During the last 15 years, Steve has worked on construction projects for Chase Bank, Pick Up Stix, Taco Bell and Petco.
Before becoming a commercial construction superintendent, Steve designed and built spec homes; and brings his design sense and attention to detail to DZI.
When not working in the field, he enjoys working on his own custom built home, camping, visiting craft beer establishments with his boss and attending sporting events.
